Day 1

First Step

Consultation and Assessment

  1. Schedule an appointment with CementLine for an on-site evaluation.
  2. Discuss your preferences regarding design, materials, and any specific requirements.
  3. The contractor will assesses the condition of the land, measures the area, and considers factors like slope, drainage, and terrain.

Step 2

Quotation and Proposal

  1. You will receive a detailed breakdown of costs for materials, labor, equipment, and any additional services.
  2. Review the proposal, ensuring it aligns with your expectations and budget.
  3. Discuss payment schedules and any potential contingencies with us.

Step 3

Permits and Approvals

  1. Project manager identifies and obtains any necessary permits or approvals from local authorities.
  2. Ensure that the project complies with zoning laws, HOA regulations, and other relevant guidelines.

Work Starts

Step 4

Site Preparation

  1. Clear the area by removing plants, debris, and old pavement/concrete.
  2. Excavate the site to the required depth, considering proper slope and drainage requirements.
  3. Compaction the soil to create a stable base for the new driveway.

Step 5

Formwork and Reinforcement

  1. Construct formwork using wood or other materials to outline the shape and edges of the project.
  2. Install reinforcement materials like rebar or wire mesh to add strength to the concrete if included.

Step 6

Concrete Pouring

  1. Preparation in ordering the concrete mixture according to the specified ratio of cement, aggregates, and water as well as necessary slump, PSI, etc.
  2. Concrete is transported to the jobsite and poured into the formwork evenly.

Step 7

Finishing and Curing

  1. Level and smooth the concrete surface using tools such as floats, trowels, bullfloats, fresno, etc.
  2. Create defined edges along the perimeter of the concrete using edging tools. Additionally, cut control joints into the concrete at regular intervals to control cracking caused by shrinkage.
  3. Complete the concrete with either a broom or stamped finish to ensure an “anti-slip” surface.

Step 8

Cleanup and Sealing

  1. Removal of formwork carefully avoiding damaging the freshly poured concrete.
  2. The site is thoroughly cleaned by disposing of excess materials and debris.
  3. A suitable sealant can be applied to protect the concrete surface from weathering, stains, and cracks.

Final Step

Final Inspection and Handover

  1. A comprehensive inspection of the completed driveway in conducted to ensure it meets our quality standards.
  2. Receive guidance on maintenance procedures and recommended timelines for resealing or further care.
